Say goodbye to synthetic air fresheners! These DIY essential oil room sprays are safe for your family, toxin-free, and smell amazing—plus they’ll save you money all year long.

Why I Ditched Traditional Air Fresheners (and You Might Want To, Too)
We all want our homes to smell good, especially when guests are coming over, but most store-bought room sprays and plug-ins come with a hidden price: toxic chemicals.
Even “clean-scented” sprays often contain:
- Phthalates (linked to hormone disruption)
- Formaldehyde (a known carcinogen)
- Artificial fragrances (which can include hundreds of unlisted chemicals)
- Aerosol propellants and solvents
These can trigger headaches, allergies, hormone imbalance—and let’s be honest, they’re not baby- or kid-friendly.
That’s why I started making my own essential oil room sprays. They’re simple, safe, cost-effective, and smell incredible.

You only need a few ingredients:

Instructions:
- Add witch hazel or vodka to the bottle.
